An ongoing battle with a chronic illness threw me into strength training but it was ultimately my passion for fitness that led to my career as a trainer.
Having dealt with my own adversity, I’m able to better assess and understand the specific needs of my clients. My workout programs aren’t just for following, they follow the client because each one is uniquely tailored to accommodate everything from personal interests to lifestyle fluctuations.
I’ll show up on your good days and serve as your strength on heavier days, offering creative solutions so you don’t have to compromise a workout.
ISSA Certified Personal Trainer (2022), CPR AED, American Heart Association (2022), AIS, Wharton Health LLC (2019), PICP™ Level 1, 2, Certified Personal Trainer (2011) and POLIQUIN® BioSignature Level 1, 2 (2011)
My detailed fitness programs serve as the perfect roadmap for the start of your journey. And much like any other roadmap, alternative routes and detours will be factored in along the way when needed as needed.
I understand firsthand just how heavy life can get, which can ultimately impact one’s overall performance. That’s why I’ve implemented a lifestyle approach when creating my fitness programs, which centers around the three pillars of health being sleep, nutrition, and fitness. I call it my “Chet-list.”

I understand firsthand just how heavy life can get, which can ultimately impact one’s overall performance. That’s why I’ve implemented a lifestyle approach when creating my fitness programs, which centers around the three pillars of health being sleep, nutrition, and fitness. I call it my “Chet-list.”
Each pillar is worth 33.3% of your overall strength journey.
Getting a good night’s sleep, anywhere between seven to nine hours, allows your body to recover both mentally and physically.
Having a meal plan full of whole foods is the fuel you need for optimal performance and to last longer during workouts.
Training is crucial for creating equilibrium in your strength training journey because it stimulates hunger and tiredness, which restarts the cycle of sleep, nutrition and fitness.
Each pillar is worth 33.3% of your overall strength journey.
A scientific approach to strength training designed to efficiently and effectively help clients reach their fitness goals in a timely and safe fashion.
A group of exercises designed to increase your range of motion, control muscles surrounding each joint and help you move more actively. Utilizes body weight in positions that gradually stretch the body.
AIS (Active Isolated Stretching) demonstrates a more facilitated technique of preventive muscle stretching based upon reciprocal and innervation of muscle tissue, the agonist – antagonist reflex (push / pull muscles).
Composed of two lifts, the snatch and the clean and jerk, which clients are to perform in stages that ultimately lead to an eventual increase in overall strength, calorie burning, mobility and confidence.
Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions I get from clients as a reference to help lift some of the guesswork out of your fitness journey.
I battled a chronic illness which eventually turned life threatening. Throwing myself into strength training brought more stability and when others asked how they could achieve the same, it inspired me to turn my passion into a career.
I’m data-driven and science-based which allow me to take the guesswork out of my client’s programs. I also take into account my client’s lifestyle choices and how that can impact the quality of their workouts.
To list a few, it can help with sleep, lower stress, boost energy, and increase focus. I’d go as far to say that training is 75% mental and 25% physical. Your mental health has a direct impact on your physical health.
Your focus and dedication will determine the length of your journey. I’ll be there when you train but you also need to show up beyond our sessions and monitor your sleeping habits and nutrition.
A two-part assessment consisting of various questions and movements. This allows me to tailor a customized fitness program for you that will serve to be sustainable long term.
Trust. My clients can trust that I’ll be there to prevent injuries, help them achieve their goals quicker than if they were to do it on their own and boost their excitement around fitness.
Tomorrow is another day but what that looks like is up to you. Be open to advice from others and receive their help. Remember, the mind and body are connected, what impacts one, directly impacts the other.
My husband had been training with Chet for close to a decade, and when I was looking for a new trainer because I wanted a more challenging work-out regimen, he suggested I book a few sessions with Chet. That turned out to be a great decision, and we now train for 1 to 2 1-hour sessions every week.
I first noticed the difference in my energy level when we went on a hike as a family in Utah after a few months of training. Normally, my first hike at altitude usually has me huffing and puffing after just a mile or so. However, the first time I hiked in Utah after starting my training sessions, I hiked a steep 5 mile trail with ease, even carrying our 3 year old son part of the way.
Chet takes a holistic approach to training. No session is complete without a deep stretch at the end. I always come out of my work out feeling like new, even though I keep lifting heavier and heavier weights as I progress. He also helps his clients work towards goals. I tore both of my ACLs a decade apart (one in college and one in my early 30s), and knee stability has been a lifelong area of focus for me.
Chet has designed a program for me that allows me to work out safely with ample focus on not stressing my joints, but also building stability so I can keep doing the things I love like skiing.
I would highly recommend Chet to anyone looking for a trainer that will customize a work-out that is best for each individual. My husband and I plan on continuing to work out with him for years to come.
